Tennis

Tennis enjoys a long tradition with us.

There are two sandy tennis courts just 2 minutes' walk from Waldthalerhof.
While a game of tennis was something of a novelty at the start of the 1980s, a lot of our guests take advantage of the courts that are just a stone's throw away.

Our cousin Marlies, her husband Peter and son Tobias run the courts, which also feature a snack bar. Tennis racquets may be hired there if you don't have your own.

Some tennis clubs come here in spring from Germany and Switzerland to prepare for the coming tennis season. While they can only play indoors at home, the sandy courts may be played on from the start of April.

The odd tennis friendship has developed over the years with the local tennis club, too. Eating at the 'Tennisstüberl' is well recommended. Insider tips that non-players will also appreciate include a 'Brettljause' snack with cold cuts and cheese, freshly prepared salad or spaghetti carbonara.

All this just a few minutes' walk away from Waldthalerhof.
